A locked guest screen, not a Windows desktop
On a booth, the worst outcome is a guest landing on the Windows desktop. Froozbooth opens locked and full screen: the guest only ever sees the booth, and the operator opens settings with a code, without exposing the system.
The modes offered are the ones you enabled for that event. Same for sharing: only the channels you opened appear on screen, so there is no stray “email” button on a booking where you chose not to collect addresses.
Works with the hardware you already own
- Any webcam recognised by Windows
- Canon DSLRs driven natively (EDSDK)
- Any printer installed under Windows, including DNP and Citizen dye-sub units
- 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC, native .exe installer
There is no hardware exclusivity and no approved-model list. Non-Canon bodies go through the manufacturer webcam utility or a capture card: outside Canon, there is no native camera control.
The formats guests ask for
Single shot, multi-frame strip, GIF, boomerang, video guestbook: modes are enabled event by event. The template you lay out in the web editor is exactly the one the booth composites: no re-import, no gap between preview and print.
Printing and the local queue
Printing is local, with the copy count and the limit you set for the event, and reprints stay within reach of the operator. Whatever fails stays visible in the queue instead of disappearing quietly. A test pattern checks the framing before the doors open.
From the venue to the cloud
Captures are written to the booth disk first. Cloud sync and emails resume by themselves once the network is back, and every event gets a public gallery hosted in Europe that you can protect with a code.
For booth manufacturers and integrators
If you build or assemble booths, Froozbooth equips a standard Windows workstation: a hardware service separate from the guest screen, an .exe installer, updates included, two machines per license. No constraint on the enclosure, the screen or the printer.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a photo booth and a selfie booth?
The vocabulary varies more than the machine: “photo booth” usually means an enclosure with a DSLR and a printer, “selfie booth” a lighter station with a webcam and digital sharing. Froozbooth drives both, with the same settings, with or without a printer.
Can I lock the booth so guests cannot leave the app?
Yes. The app opens locked and full screen, and settings sit behind an operator code, so a guest cannot reach the Windows desktop.
Are DNP and Citizen dye-sublimation printers supported?
Yes, through the manufacturer Windows drivers. There is no approved-model list: if the printer prints correctly from Windows, the booth uses it.
Does the booth need internet during the event?
No, once the configuration is synced. Capture, compositing, printing and QR stay local; emails and the cloud upload wait for the network.
Which languages does the guest screen support?
French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German. The language is chosen per event.
