The real price over three years
On paper, RightBooth costs less: $130 for two PCs, once. The license is indeed for life, but updates and support only run for twelve months; after that, you have to buy another support period to keep up with new versions of Windows and new camera bodies. With Froozbooth, the €299 lifetime license includes updates with no limit, and the €139 yearly plan comes to €417 over three years, hosted gallery included.
So the difference is less about price than about workload: who hosts the gallery, where the event is set up, and who answers when a Windows update breaks the printer driver. Best photo booth software 2026: the comparison
What the rental company gains
- Prepared at the officeTemplates, guest texts and sharing are set in the browser. An assistant preps Saturday while the booth runs on Friday.
- Two machinesThe booth and its backup leave with the same setup, with no extra code to buy.
- Gallery delivered to the clientPhotos upload to Paris and the gallery is shared by link, with optional code protection. Nothing to host.
- Works without a networkCapture, printing and QR run locally. Emails go out on their own once the connection is back.
When RightBooth is still the right choice
If you mostly sell video messages, 360 with a GoPro, scored quizzes or branching flows for a trade show, RightBooth does far more than Froozbooth, and for little money. It also drives up to four printers and accepts phone cameras. Froozbooth stays focused on the photo booth that prints and shares, with no 360 on Windows today; 360 video on iPhone is in the works.
Frequently asked questions
Does Froozbooth do 360?
Not on Windows today: the Windows booth does photos, strips, GIFs, boomerangs and the video guestbook. 360 video on iPhone, for spinning platforms, is in the works, included in the same license. For a 360 platform today, RightBooth or specialized software will suit you better.
Can I ask guests questions?
Yes. The Froozbooth survey asks free-text, multiple-choice, rating or yes/no questions, and the answer can print on the photo, like the guest’s first name. There are no scored quizzes or branching flows as in RightBooth.
Are updates included with the lifetime license?
Yes. The €299 lifetime license includes updates with no time limit, for two machines.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes, 15 days with no credit card, on two machines. A watermark marks the photos during the trial.
How much does RightBooth cost compared with Froozbooth?
RightBooth costs $75 for a lifetime license on one PC, or $130 for two PCs, before tax (prices taken from its website in October 2026, so check their current terms). Froozbooth costs €299 once for two machines, or €139 a year, with updates and the hosted gallery included.
Does RightBooth work on Mac?
The comparison lists RightBooth for Windows 10 and 11 only. Froozbooth’s booth runs on Windows 10 and 11 too, with no Mac version, but events are prepared in a web dashboard that opens from any computer. If your booth runs on a Mac, the comparison points to Sparkbooth.
What happens after the first 12 months of RightBooth updates?
The license keeps working, since it is for life, but updates and support only run for twelve months. After that you buy another support period to keep up with new versions of Windows and new camera bodies. With Froozbooth, the €299 lifetime license includes updates with no time limit.
How do I switch from RightBooth to Froozbooth?
Rebuild your templates and events in the Froozbooth dashboard, install the booth on your Windows PC and pair it. There is no automatic import. You can test the whole setup first during the 15-day trial, with no credit card, on two machines.
Is RightBooth a good choice for a photo booth rental business?
Yes, if your offer goes beyond printed photos. It is inexpensive and very complete: video messages, 360 with a GoPro, scored quizzes and polls, up to four printers and phone cameras. Its limits for a rental company are that events are prepared in an editor on the machine and each code covers one PC, whereas Froozbooth prepares events in a browser and includes two machines and a hosted gallery.
Which cameras does RightBooth support compared with Froozbooth?
RightBooth supports Canon, Nikon and webcams, plus GoPro with extra software and phone cameras. Froozbooth controls Canon and Nikon cameras natively and also accepts webcams, but its Windows booth does not do 360 or GoPro capture; 360 video on iPhone is in the works.
