What the lifetime license includes
- The Windows booth app: capture, templates, printing, offline mode.
- Event setup online, from any browser.
- The online gallery, the sharing QR code and emails to guests.
- Photo sync and live booth status in the dashboard.
- 10 GB of online storage.
- Updates to the booth app and the dashboard.
- Two machines paired at the same time: a booth and its backup, or two venues on the same night.
From three machines, the lifetime license unlocks the same features as the subscription: fleet planning, live booth monitoring, the remote control, a gallery under your own brand with no Froozbooth mention, messages to the event client and the photo mosaic. Every Froozbooth feature
What still costs extra
- Booths beyond two: €149 each, paid once, up to ten machines. Beyond that, on quote.
- Cloud+, optional: €29 a year for 100 GB more storage, guest emails sent from your own domain and remote commands for your booths (pause, restart, reprint).
- AI portraits, in packs paid once: 100 credits for €29, 300 for €59, 1,000 for €149. Credits never expire.
None of this is needed to run a booth. Without Cloud+ or AI credits, the lifetime license is enough to capture, print and share the photos from your events.
When it pays off
The yearly plan costs €139 a year, the monthly plan €14 a month. The lifetime license is worth a little under three years of the yearly plan, or 25 months of the monthly plan. If you keep your booth for more than two seasons, it costs less. The math is the same whatever the number of booths:
| Booths | Lifetime license | Yearly subscription |
|---|---|---|
| 2 (included) | €349 once | €139 a year |
| 5 | €796 once | €316 a year |
| 10 | €1,541 once | €611 a year |
Two booths over five years, by plan:
- Lifetime license€349Paid once. Nothing else to pay in the following years.
- Yearly subscription€695€139 a year for five years.
- Monthly subscription€840€14 a month for sixty months.
What “lifetime” means
The license has no time limit, for as long as we operate the service. It includes updates to the booth app and the dashboard, and gallery hosting for the period you choose. There is no maintenance contract to renew after a year.
The booth activates online once. After that, it runs without a network, for up to ten years offline; online sharing and the gallery wait for the network to come back. A subscription, by contrast, must connect at least once every 7 days, or the booth locks until it next connects.
Nothing you have paid for is ever billed again. If our prices change, they change for new purchases; a lifetime license, an extra booth or a credit pack already paid for stays yours.
Lifetime license or subscription: how to choose
- The lifetime license, if you already rent out booths or plan to keep yours for more than two seasons.
- The monthly plan, if you are still testing your market: no commitment, stop whenever you like.
- The yearly plan, if you prefer a fixed cost each year to a one-off purchase.
All three plans give the same rights. You can start with a subscription and buy the lifetime license later, from the dashboard: the subscription stops as soon as you pay. A cancelled subscription, on the other hand, locks the booths at the end of the paid period; nothing is deleted.

| Sparkbooth | $149 once; DSLR edition $189 | Windows and macOS. Gallery depends on the plan. |
| RightBooth | $75 per PC, once | Updates for 12 months, then support to buy again. |

| Darkroom Booth | Licence, plus maintenance | Updates come with a paid maintenance plan. |
Prices taken from the publishers’ websites in September and October 2026: check them before you buy. Three things set these licenses apart: whether the gallery is hosted, how many machines are covered, and how long updates last. A license with one year of updates becomes a cost again the day Windows or your camera changes. Photo booth software pricing in 2026: the real cost
Frequently asked questions
Is there photo booth software with no subscription?

Are updates included?
Yes, with no time limit: updates to the booth app and the dashboard are included in the lifetime license, with no maintenance contract.
Do I need an internet connection?
Once, to activate the booth. After that, it runs without a network, for up to ten years offline. Online sharing and the gallery catch up when the network comes back.

Can I switch from a subscription to the lifetime license?
Yes, at any time, from the dashboard. The current subscription stops as soon as the lifetime license is paid.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes, for 15 days, with no credit card, every feature and two machines. Photos carry a watermark until you choose a plan.
